SOUTH GATE, CA — Arnco, one of
the world’s largest suppliers of polyurethane products, announces the
appointment of Bill Hory as their (GEO) Green Enabling Officer. A
position that Arnco believes is the first of its kind.
The announcement came from Arnco president Larry Carapellotti,
who said “During the past 15 years, Bill has had the unique experience
in our company of developing business across all divisions both,
domestic and internationally. Having this familiarity will better
enable Bill to be more effective when designing, implementing and
communicating Arnco’s evolving sustainable initiatives.”
As Arnco has grown from a small, one product manufacture almost
four decades ago, to one of the largest independently owned chemical
systems manufacture today, the idea of corporate citizenship and
incorporating pro-social values into their business practices has taken
on an even greater importance.
When asked about the business case for going green, Bill replied
“by strategically aligning our divisions to create more environmentally
supportive products Arnco will differentiate itself not only by
becoming more meaningful to our customers, employees and vendors, but
to the environment as well. Moreover, by having this mission that is
above and beyond profits, will enable the Arnco brand to be perceived
as more honest, transparent and authentic.”
During the past eighteen months, Arnco’s competitively priced
Ecofil® Tire Flatproofing product has already sold over ten million
pounds and saved an estimated 14,000 barrels of oil and petrochemical
products that are currently found in traditional tire fill products.
“This is just one example of how Arnco’s customers have become both
more profitable and more responsive to the growing demand for greener
products and there is more to follow.”
Arnco’s corporate headquarters are in based in South Gate, CA,
with production facilities in South Gate, CA, Berea, Ohio and
Manchester, England. For further information, visit the Arnco Web site
